I don't understand this allinanchor thing.
I checked allinanchor: my keyphrase on www and I am number one right now. I checked allinanchor: my keyphrase on the www-in.google and I was number one as well. if the -in is an old index, how come I was number three for my keyphrase last month and number 24 now?

please explain someone

several options:

1. the index is not ready cacluclating yet
2. the index is showing a difference because of backlinks not added yet
3. the algo has changed and allinanchor is weighted differently towards normal ranking
4. bought high pagerank textlinks count less but show in allinanchor rankings
5. guestbook anchortexts show in allinanchor rankings but do not count for normal ranking in some of the indexes (whatever state they are in).

The way I look at it is, the allinanchor is only one of the factors that determines google serp.
So just because you are number one for allinanchor does not mean you will be number one for the main results.
allinanchor reports pages that have the query words in links that point to the page.
I would also take into account what vitaplease said, all 5 points are possibilities.

i don't expect to be number one but i think a drop from 3 to 24 is rather substantial. it's the ranking i had months ago before i optimised my page by getting rid of bloated code and acquiring links from other sites related to mine. i know Googleguy said elements would be added over the next few weeks but i can't help but be a little anxious
