I am using Iframes on my site. My keywords and content to be indexed are on the orphan pages and on the "frameset" page/pages. I am using content on the frameset page behind where the iframe goes. This may be visible to the user until iframe page had loaded over the top of it. I am considering using several of the "frameset" pages, identical appart from different meta tags and idexable content in order to maximise exposure of this hidden content. Has anyone had any experience of this, is this a good idea?

As far as the SE's are concerned, it's not a good idea as it will make your site invisible to the engines.

It's always better to stick to pure HTML code

I use IFRAMES relatively well on some of my sites...

Only thing I suggest is the following:-

Ensure the pages are not tripping up on duplicate filter - if the majority of the difference between pages in your site is the contents of the IFRAME then you will know what I mean by this.

Secondly - I would be careful of how much text you have between the IFRAME tags - I would assume that SE would treat to much text in these tags as spam (not seen any evidence on this though) - however you should be able to have enough text to explain what should be in the IFRAME area and why the browsers do not display the IFRAME - after all that is recommended HTML when using IFRAMES and I dont see SE having a problem with this - I did pose this question regarding content between IFRAME tags a few days ago but did not get much feedback unfortunately :(

SEO - what will make it invisible? Using Iframes in the site or using text between Iframe tags?
I have reently been advised that my pages will get indexed but as stand alone prphan pages but I could use a java script or perl program to make them jump back into the "frameset".?
