Cloaking or not?

Multiple domains routed on server

I have read a number of messages about cloaking but do not still know if this qualifies.

I have 2 domain names that resolve to the same page on the server level - my host displays whichever domain name in the address bar you type - ex: if you type in www.mydomain.com or www.mydomain2.com it will show whichever you typed in (instead of one automatically resolving to the other) and will keep displaying that domain name in the front as you click through the site.

The control panel function under which I set it up with my host reads like this: "Park/Unpark Domains. This page can park other domains on top of your account, thereby creating aliases."

Google has indexed it both ways it seems. The result description (that's a SERP, right?) for www.mydomain.com looks different from www.mydomain2.com for what is actually the same page. It seems like one domain has a fresher index than the other.

Does Google consider this cloaking and can I get penalized?

I am reluctant to switch it to the redirect method cuz I'm afraid my positioning will suffer for months as everything adjusts.

Hello mindaugas13 Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com].

Does Google consider this cloaking

No.

Have you given a thought of a permanent redirect from www.mydomain2.com to www.mydomain.com. It would not affect your rankings for www.mydomain.com .
