I did research in forums before I ask this question. coz I found there's two answers in the forums.
1. it's the folder depth of the web site. such as /sub1/sub2/...subn/. the depth is n.
2. it's the click depth of the web site. web pages a,b...z.
the only way to get z is a->b->c....z. so page z's depth is 26.

So my question is why u guys talk about website depth, which one is used?

if the click depth is high. will the google bot crawl it? does it hurt the PR?

thanks.

With Google, it is click depth that counts. If you have a deep level page that is linked directly from your homepage, that deep page will have the same PR as a similar page sitting in a higher directory.
