relaunch with new ip

old site still online with old ip

Hi all,

I just relaunched a site (new design, new CMS) for one of our customers.
They also switched to a new machine (=> new IP).

Today or tomorrow the IP should be switched.
What now?
Will google still look under the old IP?

The old site is only still online for lame DNS.
Shall it be redirected?
If yes: How? The domain stays the same.

Google (and some other sites) may still look at the old IP for a while, but they'll switch automatically. I'd leave the old IP active for at least a week. When you start seeing Googlebot hits on the new server, it should be okay.
