Hello,

Over 6 months ago, I changed my Website from being a .shtml site to .php. However, the Google image search site still returns all pages as .shtml... so it's grabbing my images, but the URL it relates to is .shtml, when it should be .php.

Is there something I can do to get Google to recognize my new pages? It all seems to work properly on the Web site search, but the images search is stale for me.

I checked the knowledge base but couldn't seem to find the right answer. Thanks in advance,

Google's image search is updated to separately to the regular search results. I think it only gets updated a couple of times a year while the regular search results are updated roughly every month.

There is also a Google Image Bot that collects data on the images used in websites.
