[labs.google.com...]

If you do a search for your terms in this new beta tool, it appears that you might be getting a "preview" of the update to come.

I did a test of stable search terms throughout the wwwx array, and then compared to this, and they are all different.

If it isn't a sneak-peek, than it is definately a different algorithm.

I did notice different results than the regular Google search, but to be honest, I don't think its a "sneak peak" or has anything to do with the update.

That could be a "killer app"

It looks like an older database or without freshbot influence.

Do searches on domain names and see if your new pages are there.

I tried that tool a bit a while ago and got the same strange results. The theory that it could be old information might be right. I don't think it has anything to do with the update.

I have confirmation that this is also the new DMOZ build. One of my categories had been moved to a new location, and has been (and still is incorrect in the google directory), but is now correct when using this tool.

The interesting thing I notice is that I use Javascript to bust out of frames on some of my pages, but Google caches my source and disables all Javascript to prevent that from happening.

Another thread for my ignore-cause-false-alarm-list ...
You're getting real creative with this kind of threads. ;)

BTW: Brett, could you set up a option to let us members move specific threads from the google news overview list to a watch-later-if-ever-folder?

The results are definitely much different. I wonder where these are coming from?

slightly different results for some terms, but I don't think it is the new index at all.

just tried another test and in fact IMHO it isn't.

interesting results though.

<added>it may be a new/slightly different algo but it is the same index</added>

It's strange. Some of the results appear to be old and some entirely new

There should be a new title for one of my sites in the new index. It still shows the old title in this tool. This is not the new index.

Man, I hope this isn't the new results or algo. Getting nervous...

This is definitely not a peak at the update....some are old, some are just like what's in google...I'd say if anything this is the google current results minus some updates...

Im thinking new results as well. Tested 4 examples on my site, moved from #2 to #4 spot in one, (twice)stayed #1 in one, and moved from #3 to #1 in a third.

Not alot of changes there, but if thats the new data Ill take it.

Absolutely no change at all in my KWs.

Please take hand off jittery switch and step away from the computer.

This is way too cool. It's not so much the results, but a killer way of cruising through the serps! Too bad it only seems to work with IE5, but not with my old, beat-up, opera5.12 and netscape4.7 However, I do notice a page rank discrepancy in the new app and the "normal " toolbar. results.

I hope there not new results!

A banned site is now #1 for the term I searched on!

Never mind. The PR I was looking at was the PR of the site the frame sites on. Duhhhh.
