Want to show googlebot another language

Hello community,

We have a website (originally in french) that we recently translated in english.

The problem is the following:

-we use IP targetting (GeoIP) to serve pages with different local content (language and currency)
-the GoogleBot IP range is US only
-we want to keep our good old french ranking in google

Do you think that cloaking is a good option to show google french pages while showing US visitors pages in english / us dollars? Or is it too risky?
