I would like to set up an account for the search bot user agents so that they can view the restricted content, but users must still login before viewing this exact same content (so that the content will be indexed in searches, but when people click on the result they most login).
Can anyone advise how serious an issue this will be? Would this comply with various guidelines?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I think you'll be fine if you cloak the login by user agent. I doubt you'll have any problems with the search engines.
