I'm testing different ways to hide my affiliate code, and the program I use now create a html page with the affiliate code coded inside (bad sentence I know), and redirect directly to the affiliate using frames.

I really feel that I'm walking a thin line doing this, both the SE's and sponsors might have problems with this.

What are your experience on this matter?

If you have suggestions for sofware I can use that are better in the ways of SE - please send me a message.

Redirecting is bad. Frames are bad. I'd stay away from both.

My redirect was #1 in the serps for weeks.. What's so bad about that?

Hey it monetized like crazy for 4 weeks. Now other sites and redirect urls I have for that sponsor are #4 in google, #1 in msn, page 2 in yahoo. I'm still in the game.

I have found a server based script that hide the affiliate code, but the core of the question was... Will I be penalized using the metods I've mentioned.

I have no experience in this matter, what I do have is a pretty good understanding that web pages with affiliate codes are worth less than pages without.

I didn't mean ethically bad. I think it's wonderful that you're doing well in the SERPs. I hope it stays that way :)

I don't think affiliate link cloaking is penalized in any way by search engines. It's irrelevent to SEO.
