Can we stop website code theft using cloaking?

All the top 10 websites in SERs wants to hide their work(code) from being copied by others...Can we use cloaking to hide the original website which took us to top 10(if we make sure that its not too different from the regualr website) OR it is most likely to be banned by search engines? However, if we are doing it, then still we cant hide it, as there are many search engines simulators are available online..People can spider the website using those simulators and can still see the code...Is there a way we can hide from those simulators? Instead of using USER AGENT, use the ip cloaking? Or any other way of doing it?
Thanks for the help.

Yep, that is the point of IP based cloaking -- to hide optimized HTML from competitors.

But can it get your website banned? OR ip cloaking is not that harmful as the User agent based cloaking is? Can't people see your code in cached pages even if you are doing ip cloaking?
Thanks

Your domain can be banned if caught. That's why most cloakers put their cloaked pages on domains they don't mind losing. To avoid having your pages cached, use the NOARCHIVE meta tag.

oki so the main domain will get the ranking based on the cloaked pages on your secondary domains...is that right?and if caught, then the secondary domain will get banned right?

Actually your secondary or shadow domains will get the ranking. If you are caught your main domain stays safe.

Your primary domains rankings will not be affected by cloaking campaigns, at least not if you are doing it properly (from a risk-conscious perspective).
