I am a webmaster, who used to make many sites for the search engines, but am not acitively pursuing that area since about one year ago, I mostly buy and sell land now. However, at this time I am in the philippines. Just got the laptop installed and several sites I need to access here are blocked to anyone logging in from the philippines, I need to access these sites, and I also have heard that If i block my ip address and surf anonymously , it will help prevent viruses, from being loaded onto my computer and ads since they dont know where to send the script to. I have downloaded several IP cloaking softwae programs, One seemed to work great , but it had an odd entry page, with an activation key, and now i cant get it to work again. I also downloaded a program which seems to be pretty straight forward called ANONYMITY 4 PROXY, which i did everything it told me to do, directed my browser to use a proxy server, and gave it the proxy server numbers it gave me, and selected an anonymous server from their list they had to choose from, Again it wont work, it blocks all websites completely.
I am new to this cloacking game, Can someone tell me a good program to download. Also are any of you familiar with this type of software. Sounds like you guys are trying to cloak your HTML source code , or something similar, which is not exactly the same thing as I am ttying to do. Thanks for any advice

Welcome to WebmasterWorld :)

There are plenty of websites that perform this service without you having to install any software. I'll sticky you with the name of one.

If you can find a working program that blocks your IP address then please tell me how to get ahold of it. And if you know how a comment tag works please tell me.

Using certain proxies will keep your IP address from being reported correctly to a web server.

How do comment tags work? Now that's a strange question :) Your browser sees the "begin comment tag" ( <!-- ) and does not render anything between it and the "end comment tag" ( --> ).
