This appears to be a tool that would pierce cloaking...it also would tell you who is stealing your stuff!

D, Nice find! It works on the url drop, I checked it using a page that a competitor has copied (or did I copy him? I forget) --picked him right up.

How is that going to get through cloaking any better than a search engine?

The best way to find cloakers it to create a set of exotic keywords and place one on every page. If you can find the kw through the engines pointing at a url, you've found a cloaker that has stolen your page. Use combinations of characters that are against natural language but easy to remember (qertie, qowest, szectht, glurbette, frorging, tasetrokc, zugert, xunoht, lsortei, jkork, wqozer, yzeks).

If you do find someone stole your page, what do you do about it?

That all depends upon how much the page was worth to you, and how much you want to spend to get it back.

You can try the "remove it or else" legal sounding threat letter, and that often works. Or you can go to a lawyer. Sometimes you can also contact the persons host.

Hello billythekid I'am a newbie maybe do not have as much information as brett.
I recently went to a seminar were we were told that you should copyright your pages and even your content.
I had some one steel my page and what I did was sent them an e-mail kindly requesting them to take the site down or i would email the SEs and explained that since i had copyrighted my sight i could take legal action.
Like brett said it depends on how important the sight is to you

"If you do find someone stole your page, what do you do about it?"

Make them an offer they can't refuse, Billy.
