Is it possible to exclude one visitor with a static IP number from a site or pages, deliver a specific custom page to only that one, or redirect that one to another site or page on the same or another server?
Also, is it possible to deflect visitors coming via a link from one particular site, or deflect or exclude spiders from a particular search engine?
Will it be necessary to install a cloaking script for any or all of these, or is there another solution?
OK..there is, of course, no control over anything on the server beyond the root domain, but it is pretty full-featured hosting, and if I were to want any specific information I could ask the tech person I usually deal with (who happens to read these boards on occasion, BTW) and expect a pretty decent response.
I think I asked several questions bundled together, littleman. Let's just simplify and deal with the issue of one specific static IP number - either excluding or sending to another URL. Is this accomplished via htaccess, or is there another way? What apache directives, with the limitations of the the hosting in mind.
(For the sake of simplicity, I could just use robots.txt and exclude all spiders - the first issue is of more concern.)
An htaccess solution would be best.
