Mozilla: using CTRL-K to delete to EOL

It's suddenly stopped working in Linux

In Linux and similar OSes there's a fairly common set of CTRL commands which can be used for moving the cursor in blocks of text.

I'm particularly fond of using CTRL-K to delete to the end of a line, but this key binding has disappeared during the last couple of upgrades. I'm on 1.7.6, and I'm sure it was still there around 1.7.3 or so.

Anyone know how I can restore this, or bind certain keys to certain actions?

Many thanks for the info!

(I'm sure I should have been able to find those pages myself but sometimes you just can't see the wood for the trees).
