Hi everyone

I am developing a form for my site which requires the user to enter a country and then a state / region. Question: does anyone know of a "ready-made" list of all countries with a list of all the major regions within them. E.g. US and the States, UK and the Counties.

This would be a lifesaver!

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

You might have seen this script already, but here it is. Have a look and let me know if it helps:

Phew, that's neat, and very close!

But, any ideas on where I could get the data for the other countries?

Thanks for your help.

If you select other when the region comes up, a pop window appears and asks you to enter the specific country. Choose other when making a selection in the right drop-down. Not sure where you'd get info for the other areas.

Thanks Michael.

The data is the important bit though!

Be very careful with canned scripts. The cited example for instance does not have the option for US military/diplomatic addresses (i.e. FPO, APO, AE, AP), less Puerto Rico or USVI. In fact, I don't see an entry for District of Columbia (Washington, DC), so I guess I wouldn't be able to purchase from you :). It's also quirky in Firefox. And be careful of ethnocentrism as well-- should Egypt be part of "Africa" or "Middle East" or both?
