There are several sites linking to some of my image files. OK, I could disable that, but instead, would there be some way to provide such requests with my home page in a new window?

All you can do is substitute an image of your own. I have a number of people who link to my images as their avatar on forums. Can be used as advertising with a 'Go to www.mysite.com'
