weblog and blog are they same?

some site that are html.. i see on the net.. have whats called a weblog//

is that the same as a blog just intergrated? like is a weblog and a blog the same?

Blog is what you write like your personal diary

weblog i think is access log like who visited your website and information related to IPs etc..

I think youre right about a web log being an access log but more and more I am seeing weblogs being refered to in the same context as blogs.

Im guessing the two terms can be coined in the same way?

Yes, they're the same thing. Blog is just a shortened form of weblog.

The common name for the record of who accesses your pages is called a 'server log'. Using that name will help keep things straight in your discussions.

Sonjay is correct - the word "blog" is a shortened form of the word "weblog"
