Amaya install on OSX terminal

is installing amaya and its counterparts supposed to take this long and spit out so much data?

you've obviously never tried to install gentoo for os x... :p

are you using the instructions off the w3 site for Amaya?

yes, i am
i have fink and all

in the terminal i wrote -
fink install amaya

and then it started, and asked me for two backups
i chose 2, then 1 because i had no idea what they were

and it said it was going to install amaya and 12 or so components

and it has been rambling on and on with lines in the terminal
