What is the difference between [example.com...] and [example.com....] I saw where someone was upset because they were trading links to sites and someone sent them the [example.com....] Should I be using the WWW for my links. I didn't realize there was any difference. Can anyone answer my questions.

On many servers, addresses with or without "www." will resolve to the same resource - but this is a server setting and it cannot be assumed true. The two URLs are different and certainly may point to different resources, or one may not even resolve at all.

Here's a related, current discussion in Domain Names:

Use a 301 redirect to redirect one of them (usually non-www) over to the other one. This easily avoids indexing issues with Google.
