Explorer 6 WinXP SP 2 crashes on a combination of Strict Mode, padding, position: relative and white-space: nowrap if you set a page containing all these elements as your home page.

Thanks for that Hester.

We're looking into an interesting issues caused by the service pack here which is breaking our UI test scripts. There test scripts run around the UI submitting forms, triggering events and the like. I'll report back when we've got all the details.

Is anyone else seeing any issues with SP2?

Hi There,

My suggestion is to use IE 6, with service pack 1, never do any windows updates, and always use a firewall to block the windows auto updates. That's the trick. This is probably because microsoft wants to add as much spyware to your pc as possible. Always use a firewall..NIS 2005 works.

Good Luck!

This is the funniest bug I've ever heard of! Imagine poor Joe Surfer, who hasn't a clue how to change his homepage outside of his browser, locked out of the Internet forever!

Hopefully his friendly neighborhood computer geek is a FireFox [getfirefox.com] fan and can get him on the right track! ;)

This is what happens if you try to inspect quality into your products instead of designing quality into a product. You cannot test for every possible combo of comands.
