Shadowing the domain name in the location bar?

I think that's what it's called...

Hello, I was wondering if there is any HTML code for shadowing. For example if I have: www.angelfire.com/mywebsite, and I redirected it to wwWebmasterWorldebsite.com, is there any way I can hide the Angelfire site from appearing in the address bar? I hope I've stated this clear enough.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], jgose.

There are various domain name providers who provide "domain forwarding", where you specify your true hosting address, and they place that within a frame showing your domain name at the top. There are some serious disadvantages with this, though: all your content will appear within that frame so the URL won't show - making it impossible to bookmark pages. Secondly, the search engines will have more difficulty in indexing your page.

Usually, it is much better to use commercial hosting for your site rather than use a free provider. In that way, you can access your site directly via your domain name as well as have tons of features such as site statistics, server-side scripting, etc. which are not available from free hosting providers. Prices for simple hosting are also very low: less than $60 a year for a basic package.

The domain I have is registered through Angelfire. So it's not free. You edited my post but you didn't answer my question.

Just to clear that up, the "editing" of your post was not done by a person but by a script that automatically replaces certain acronyms with the string "WebmasterWorld" to avoid legal confusion - but sometimes it kicks in unexpectedly and confuses a posts.

If a human edits a post, a notation is made automatically at the bottom as to who and when.

So lets talk some more - using the domain name "example.com" (the best generic domain name to use as it will never be owned).
