Hi

I saw some websites where if I click on directions it comes up with Yahoo directions page with destination address prepopulated.
Can anyone please tell me how to do that.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, samasya.

If you call up the exact map you are interested in linking to, then you can copy the address from your browser's location bar (address bar) and it will contain all the paramaters you need to link your visitors to that exact map view.

My requirement is different.

My to address is constant which is a popular location. Ex: Some Restaurent. So when user clicks on driving directions link on the restaurent page, it should come up with yahoo driving directions page with To: address prepopulated with restaurents address and the user needs to enter only his from address.

Thanks

Hi samasya, welcome.

Do basically the same thing Tedster recommended for a map, only with the directions page.

Go to the driving directions page. Enter the destination under "B". Click get directions. Copy the URL from the address bar of the resulting page. That should do it.
