Dear Friends,

Yahoo and some other sites including webmasterworld wont load properly. All images shows 'x' mark and font style is of different than of usual.

Any idea why is it..? I scaned my pc and found it virus and adware free. Is this problem realtes to Web server? But I found the same websites loads properly in other system why not in my system.

could any one give me quick reply with solution?

sounds like a firewall isssue, your not using norton personal firewall or something similar are you? If so try turning it off.

What you are describing sounds like Explorer is not able to "see" ANY files that are external to the main HTML document - not images or css. Can you tell if external javascript files work?

If not, then I have that problem on one machine, and I can fix it temporarily with a re-boot. But after some time of further use, out it goes again.

A firewall configuration issue is a real possibility. But if you have the problem I have, then I am also interested in a solution - completely disabling the Firewall doesn't fix it for me. Not even reinstalling a different build of IE has helped, and not even a complete reformat.

I suspect a software conflict, but which software is the big question, and for two years I have just suffered through re-boot after re-boot.

I never use IE anymore except for testing purposes - Opera and Firefox are much better browser choices for my everyday personal browsing. But I do need to test web pages a lot of the time, and so this issue is a royal PITA.

Dear Friends

Thanks for your comments, am not sure about any firewall. I shall check and comment regarding this. As reards loading sites without images and font style is only with Yahoo and Webmasterworld and with very few websites.

Google opens properly, I tried these with Netscape the result is same.

Any idea, many of friend suggest for format of system. But its not complete solution?

In theory a complete reformat and reinstalling IE should be a complete fix. But if you also reinstall sofware that conflicts with IE (as I apparently do) them the problem is not resolved.

Google opens properly

If you can see the Google logo, but not images on Yahoo, that is most unusual.

only with Yahoo and Webmasterworld

Both these domains call to a different domain for their images. That is one commonality that I see, and something that you don't find on the majority of websites -- but you will find this approach on some of the busiest domains.

Now why your browser would refuse to load images on a page when they are called from another domain I couldn't say. Are you using some security along the way that might place such a restriction?

Dear Freinds

Thanks for all your comments, yes the problem got solved when formated and reinstalled IE.

It may be due to missing components in IE, its been solved now..
