Anyone else down loaded this? Its knocked my scanner out and wont let me view popups that I have requested from links.

Can I switch this 'feature' of?

To open volutary popups, press the Control key while you click. To stop the function entirely, open Tools on the menu.

I just moved to the first patch at a job I do, suse 9.1, I have to say it's very pleasant.... : ), the sys admins can't wait to move the whole network off Windows and onto Linux, they're doing it piece by piece, and Windows is not in the race in any way except as a necessary evil until the linux desktops get a bit more user friendly for average users.

There was a recent thread about sp2, about 25% of the posters reported serious issues with the patch, this is not a good sign, obviously, this patch was released too soon and wasn't tested adequately. Don't be an MS beta tester unless they are paying you to do that work.

Agreed, isitreal. While I'm perfectly happy "moving forward" under normal circs, this is decidedly NOT normal circs.

As I said elsewhere, I've got the CD, the whole thing is on hold 'til maybe February....

Oh, I don't know...

I've loaded it on ~20 PCs so far. 10 just yesterday in an office with a mix of Home and Pro. The only PC I had any trouble with is one that was already full of SpyWare. The other ~19 have been flawless.

People who install SP2 don't normally sit down and test it for several hours on each computer do they?

I've downloaded SP2 but not yet installed it. I remember installing a servicepack on 2000 a while back - killed the computer almost totally dead - there was just enough life left to perform an uninstall that took many many hours.
