does anyone know where to find a good tree menu that's built with xhtml/CSS? i found one on javascripts.com: [webdeveloper.earthweb.com...] , though it's built with tables.. and i don't know anything about javascript..
Thank you very much in advance!

Not really a tree menu, but take a look at Brothercake's UDM4: [udm4.com ]

Whoa... it's going to be the second time I mention the guys at Silver Orange this week here at Webmasterworld... They do deserve credit, and again, I am not affiliated- I just admire them as a local company that has done good work, including in the OSS world.

Anyhow, here are their free CSS tabs [labs.silverorange.com]. I have used them, and they were very easy to adapt to my needs.

There is an article on ALA that tells you how to do it for free and without Javascript - just CSS and HTML. I've checked it in IE and Firefox and it seems to work
Go to AlistApart and search on horizontal dropdowns.

So felon, are you using the ALA menus? I honestly haven't tried them, just bookmarked them for future use.

Have you tested them in many different browsers? What's your impression?

it works fine on my target browsers (i'm currently designing for a very small audience, a company intranet).. and they have the latest browsers.. it makes my job much easier.. though i would like to hear the opinion of anyone who tried it on older browsers..
