windows SP2 on bittorrent

in an attempt to prove the usefulness of peer to peer download, downhill battle has made SP2 available on a torrent

MS is limiting the download to 2.5 million a day to avoid their servers dying ...

Would you really download SP2 off an unofficial site? How can you be sure it hasn't been tampered with to install a few spyware apps along with the rest of it?

I for one would much rather get my patches directly from Microsoft.

By verifying the MD5# available on the MS site.

both valid points. havent examined it fully, but the providers and MS claim this is the version to be installed on networks. the size of the file is over 200MB and MS said they will provide a "light" version for home users later on ...
