In correcting some HTML errors on a web site I came up with a question about how spiders interpret the <BR> command.

If I have a sentence such as:

This is a nice product to add to any serious<BR>bodybuilding or fitness program.

Will the spiders interpret the sentance with no space between the words "serious" and "bodybuilder"? In other words will the spider read it as "seriousbodybuilder"?

Is a space required between the two words to make this a valid sentence? I have run into this a lot.

Depends on each bot, but I would assume that they would interpret it as serious<LINEBREAK>bobybulding - two words.

Any other response would be incorrect.

You can test it anyway, once you have some of those pages indexed in Google.
