Hello everybody,

Whenever I update images on our website, my browser is still showing me the page with the old images. Constant refreshing, or clearing history, cookies and temporary files dont make any difference.

Do you know any way to get rid of this problem?

I am using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6.0

Thank you for your help!

are you positive you've actually made the update on the server?

On an attempt to get rid of this problem I deleted one of the images right from the server and the browser was still showing it- so it must be a problem of the browser or the ftp program (I am using cute FTP).

Zaneta, with what you've just described, I suspect a caching issue. Yes, it may be with your browser. But showing an image that's no longer on the server, even after clearing the cache and refreshing the page? That's very suggestive of an ISP cache.

You can try control+refresh which sometimes forces an ISP to call the server instead of its own cache.

If you've got "cute" then just the datestamp on the file on server will tell you if it's "old" or "new"...

This is like tedster said 99.9999% likely ISP cache
