IE6 and Images

Strange image display problem.

I have a strange problem with IE6 - the images on almost any website seem to appear about 5% larger than when they are displayed on Netscape. The problem is that none of the rest of the site (including tables and other html code) is resized to scale. So in otherwords, not only do my images then appear to be pixelated, but some sites then get thrown out of whack because of the alignment issues (if say one table row was set to be an image).

I have looked and LOOKED through IE's preferences and settings and can't seem to find ANYTHING that will change this. Does anybody have any idea what's going on?

Thanks.

Have you got automatic image resizing on?

I don't normally use IE as my browser, please tell me how to turn this on and off, and where I should look so that I know if it IS on or off? Thanks,

VR

Go to Tools -> Internet Options and click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Multimedia section and untick "Enable Automatic Image Resizing".

It was unchecked to begin with. I downloaded IE 5.5 and installed that, and *IT* doesn't display images like that...

Is it all images or just images of a certain format (eg JPEGs)?
