Anyway, people receiving this html email are having it blocked by their virus blocking software as the email apparently uses ActiveX (which is disabled on their systems for security reasons). Fair enough, i guess, however this client has an example of another html email using an animated gif which doesn't have this problem.
Any ideas as to how this other email bypasses this whole ActiveX thing?
If anyone can help me out here, you'd make my day.

There's your clue then -- pull that example apart.
I did some research on this issue, and I couldn't find anything that would bypass the security setting except to change it. It seems ActiveX gets used for every kind of animation I could think of.
