Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my ie browser, I can no longer seem to use explorer properly, an internet optimizer is continually flashing up, its taken over my controls of my option tools, its changed my homepage from google to this internet optimizer,its also placing desktop icons onto my box can anyone advise please? its driving me potty, all advice is greatly appreciated but please understand that I am a total newbie here.

Gosh that was easy thanks very much, feel a bit lighter now that stuffs off my box.

I did buy the spyware stuff too is it any good?

Hmm that's a hard one :)

I once bought spyware it never did what it said on the packet, and since then found the best way of removing this from the system is through manual find locate and destroy - which you have just done. The down-side of this is that you can be repeating the process several times for each bug - but on the upper-side it seems to permantly remove it!

Am not knocking the spyware remove tools industry they do a good job, but in the end it isnt something that you cannot do yourself. And the internet is full of tutorials/resources for finding ways to remove each bug.
