I have my xml files inside a w3c folder, p3p.xml and policy.xml

I used the IBM program to make the policies.

I can view the summary of my privacy policy in netscape with no problem but IE6 has the option greyed out. It is also blocking my cookie.

Any ideas?

The files are not enough, you need to send a P3P header as well. Are you sending one, and what does it look like?

I found the problem, I don't understand the problem, but I did find a solution.

IE6 was blocking my cookie created by my phpbb message board software. I don't quite understand why it was blocking the cookie but I found a solution over at the phpbb forums.

I had to add this line to a file,

header('P3P: CP="NOI ADM DEV PSAi COM NAV OUR OTRo STP IND DEM"');

Either way, it works now. I'll have to figure out what all that means later.

Its called a Compact Privacy Policy and it essentially summarises your privacy policy for that page and cookie.
