unable to access a password protected page

I put in password and userid still get unauthorized

I don't know if anyone on the forum can help me, when I try to go into my stats page ( maybe since Austin I shouldn't look at) a pop-up window asking for userid and password appears, put in correct userid & password,says I am unauthorized to enter, either I put in wrong userid,password or browser doesn't understand what to do. I have the same computer in my office and I am able to login, I have windows xp, any suggestions?

I have had similar wierdness.

One suggestion that I can offer is the mode in which you uploaded your htpasswd file. I rekon it needs to be ascii. I had similar problems when I uploaded a script that was supposed to be in ascii when I did the dead in binary.

Worth a try and if yoiu figure it out let us all know :)
