hey guys
im busy rebuilding my website and im using show hide layers for the navigation.... div elemnets..

now in some browsers the menus (layers) pop out in the wrong place... but in my browser IE 6 - it is fine?

<Sorry, no URLs. See TOS [webmasterworld.com]>

just go over the buttons and see where the menu pops out?! I was told layers (div elemnets) arent bad to use for custom pop menu system...

but the layers are moving around?

any help would be awesome...

Your main problem is fixing the position of you layers in a table.

either redesign using layers (tbh that layout doesnt need tables)

or

get a plugin from projectseven.com that will position the layers accoring to the image its attached to

oh and never use layers within tables

hey dude..

ok but if i use layers to build the whole design.. the site wont come out in mozilla or opera..?

i was told that div elements can be mixed with tabels..?

i rate i should just change the nav system?

thanx

uum one more thing...

the prospect of building the site in layers is very "yummy" BUT doesnt layers result in big webpages - long loading speed..etc

whats this boards general opinion of layers?

Hi -
I changed the top and left position settings on layer 1 and it works fine in IE5 and mozilla
e.g.
<DIV id=Layer1 onmouseover="MM_showHideLayers('Layer1','','show')"
style="Z-INDEX: 1; LEFT: 181px; VISIBILITY: hidden; WIDTH: 99px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 231px; HEIGHT: 93px"
