As I live in Australia my browser automatically takes me to google.com.au how can I view google.com without it changing to google.com.au?

Theres a link on the .au homepage that says "Go to Google.com".
Easy as that :)

IF you want to change it permanently, you can change what your browser's homepage is set to. In IE go to tools/options/ and change the home page to whatever you want.

Thanks but I would not want to change my home page.
I have my home page on my c: drive with all my favorite sites listed on it so that is quite useful, also I do not need to be on line to view my home page.

ahh I thought you meant that your browser was set to the google.com site as a home page. sorry,

Yes, I have the Google toolbar as well, so I don't need that on my home page.

Hi there, I had the same problem accessing Google from Belgium even though I'm from Ireland. Google has a link 'Go To Google.com' and when you click on it you will from now on always see Google.com but you must have cookies turned on for this to work. Clicking on this 'Go To...' link automatically writes a cookie to your PC which is something I didn't expect, rather I would have preferred a manual click on a 'Save Preferences' button like in the Preferences section of Google to make this change permanent.
Hope this helps, Sean Kelly CEO KellysBookShop.com [KellysBookShop.com...]
