About the only thing that each page might need, depending on content of that page, would be copyright, trademark and the like.
Again, depending on the content of the site, their are also ratings from various "Kid Safe" and "Health" type organizations that also provide tags to embed. As long as the site passes muster, they are then entitled to listing with that organization as well.
I know as many differing opinions on PR building as there are going on around here, I've not seen too much mentioned regarding these type organizations. ;)
You don't necessarily need to have an educational site either. However, your site must contain, and continue to contain the 'rated' material for each of the 'Ratings Groups' applied to - for as long as you publish that logo/ratings tags to the Internet.
A lot of this criteria really depends on the theme of the site itself, more than anything else. Such to say, if you have a hyphenated gambling URL, you're chances of getting approved would be roughly the same as me winning anything appreciable on that hyphenated gambling site.
As I see it, these ratings sytems can not do you any harm, if applied appropriately.
