The more I do this, the less patience I have with Micro$---. I've been using Firebird and Opera for quite a while now for browsing, but am ready to make Firebird my default for everything. Can I? Setting the default browser was easy enough, but I can't figure out how to have it edit mark-up. When I "view source", it won't let me edit. What am I missing?

Firebird is just the browser. If you want to edit pages you need Mozilla which includes composer, or you need to get some other way to edit pages. I couldn't find anywhere to choose a default html editor within Firebird or Mozilla.
