I have what may be a dumb question. We have built a browser based application that runs within my company. Since we all have PCs running Windows, everyone has IE 5.5 or 6. Most employees open the application from a desktop icon. The problem is, if a browser session is already open, it get's clobbered by the application when it is opened. Is there anyway to set a parameter in the desktop shortcut to open the application in a new window?

There is a setting in Internet Explorer (Tools - Internet Options - Advanced) called "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts". If you untick this option the shortcuts will open in a fresh window.

Thanks!

I knew there had to be way do it. I was just looking in the wrong spot. I kept thinking it was a property of the shortcut.
