How and where can I add the following to an EXCEL.htm.

<meta name="robots" content="NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW">

I looked in EXCEL help but couldn't find anything. Is this even do-able?

This is for a password protected intranet page that may be accessable to the outside world from the companies web site.

Thanks

So, the page is password protected from the intranet, but accessible from the live Web page?

To be on the safe side, you may want to upload a robots.txt file to the root of your web and Disallow: those Excel files.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /excel.htm

Why not just password protect that directory (using .htaccess) if the request is not coming from the intranet?

DrDoc,

I'm not sure, but the concern has been rasied since the intranet sites may accessable from the internet site. This has not been decided by the powers that be.

Oh, the joys of designing by commitee

Page,

Can you elaborate please. I am quite the neophyte. I am not a web designer by profession. I was appointed to do our departments intranet site because I've been doing my own personal site for several years. My skills are very basic.

Mega Thanks
