Although I have Mozilla, Netscape 7, and Opera, I often use IE6. I have the active-x disabled to avoid drive-by downloads, but on many sites I of course get an annoying MS dialog box popping up to inform me that the page won't display correctly. As far as I can tell, they always do anyway, but I have to keep closing the box. I've hunted around on the net for hours looking for ways of killing the thing, but haven't gotten lucky.
Does anyone know how to disable that pop-up? Is there something in the registry somewhere?
Many thanks.

I think the most common thing is a lack of "extra" functionality somewhere on the page, but the display is still at least decent. If the page builder was savvy, it will degrade gracefully.

I did some searching for you as well - but no joy here, either.
