Javascript Drop-down Menu hidden under Form Fields

not as easy as playing in corn fields :)

I have javascript dropdown menus that when they drop down over form fields, the fields show up on top of the menus. I read somewhere that this is beyond a z-index problem, but can't find nor remember exactly what the fix.. if any... was.

As far as I know, there's no fix. The dropdown lists are part of the OS, not the Web page...
