The w3c are focusing on XHTML, and not developing HTML 4.01 any further. If there were to be another version of HTML, what tags/features would you like to see included?

How about:
<search ...> similar to a form tag, but reserved exclusively for site search

<nav> delimiter for a list of links that form global, local or contextual navigation links (maybe several tags/types?)

Also <breadcrumbs>, <logo>, <pagetitle>, <pagesubtitle>, <editable> ...

And standard accesskeys for:
Go to homepage "/"
Up one level (like Google toolbar)
Contact Page, Checkout, Sitemap (also requires standard URLs?)
Skip to main content (poss. needs a tag as well?)

MonkeeSage has previously suggested a <linus> tag [webmasterworld.com]. Any content within <linus></linus> tags must be rendered how Linus Torvalds would like it/expect it to be ;)

I'm very keen on the <spam></spam> element. In fact I've accidentally added it to several pages recently. Although browsers ignore it because it is non-standard, some search engines seem to index its content.
