downloading an image?

Hey all

Usually when you want to put a downloadable file on your site you just link to it eg. <a href="file.doc">
but is there a way for a user to click on a link/something and download an image without right-clicking?

I've disabled right-clicking on my site so there's less chance of my graphics being stolen but there's one I'd like people to download without having to click on it and open in a new window, then right-click it to save.

How about zipping up the image and letting your users click on the zip file?

I have never used the script to disable images but is it Javascript called onto each page to disallow it? If this is the case then let people click your image and a pop-up appears with the image in it and then maybe they can right click to save.
