Redirection on the browser side i think?

Hi guys ,

MY problem is whenever i type www.yahoo.com or yahoo.com it gets redirected i think opn my browser site to another website let's say www.anything.com tried cleaning temporary files cookies ... anything i can thing of but the problem still persists. By the way i have IE6 on a win2k proffessional. if i search yahoo on google and then go through that it works fine otherwise i get the www.anything.com , Anybody had a similar problem, would appreciate any help.

I would check your system for scumware, Do a search for parasiteware or scumware on google. There are programs like adaware that will search and destroy programs that do this. I have never heard of your symptom though.

THanks for your help but the problem is still there i have used Xcleaner and AdAware6.0 and the problem still exists. As i said i type www.yahoo.com , and then at the bottom where IE should say opening www.yahoo.com it says opening www.anything.com , i sent an email to that website and didn't get anything yet but i think there is something aliasing the anything.com on my side.
