Sharp increase in usage of Firebird

Could this be the key for mozilla?

For anyone that has lost track, Mozilla Phoenix is now Firebird because of legal ramblings that occurred.

Anyway, the past week I've seen a progressive increase in the usage of the firebird browser for people coming to my site. A bit of background here that part of the site is a support forum for an open source project so these people that are frequenting that part are keen to be using the best browser out there, which happens to usually be with Linux etc.

I decided to test out the 0.6 version and I really am impressed at how quick and uncluttered it is. Its even possible to get the Mozilla Google toolbar called Googlebar, which would have actually been perfect had it also included page rank, but alas no.

I would say that this is one to watch, but a lot of sites won't see the traffic from it in any kind of volume until Mozilla push themselves further into the mainstream. Maybe some good words here and there on the blogs might give it some sort of influence, but only time will tell.

I have actually raised my eyebrows at some friends I have seen recently using moz/firebird and would have thought they were perfect IE only candidates.

I quite like firebird have tested it out quite a bit and it is quite fast.

I use moz for my daily but firebird gets a workout once in a while.
