Closing the top frame of a two frame frameset

Need help please!

Hi all, new to html etc.. and have got a site with two frames. One at the top of the page and one below, i need to know how to close the top frame so users can use a link in the bottom frame to fill the whole page.
Hope you understand this!

basicly need to know how to get the 'x' icon in top right of top frame?
please help cheers

For a close link in the top frame, link it to the URL of the bottom frame and use target="_top". This will load the bottom frame into the full browser window.
