Okay, I design my site on a PC with Windows XP professional, with Dreamweaver Ultra Dev. I use some Java script - the script I use is supposed to be compatible with the latest versions of IE and Netscape, and on my computer, my sites look fine on both PC versions of both major browsers. Is there anything more I can do about AOL's default auto-compress built within their browsers?

I've previously posted disclaimers, telling viewers why my images (it's a photographic site) look bad on their AOL browsers, and to turn the compression preference setting off. Also, if my pages our in check with IE and Netscape, why do the Mac equivalents have so many discrepancies? Contrary to statistics, far more people are on Macs, AOL, etc., than indicated. How do I bring more overall consistency to my sites, since the makers of these products don't feel it all that necessary to do so?

Thanks,

I usually just make a quick tutorial telling them why the images seem distorted and walk them through turning compressed images off.

Thanks, MWPro. It looks as is I'll have to do that, as well as do the usual duplicate site technique for some browsers.
