On accident, I accidently double right-clicked my IE browser window, and I noticed
my mouse cursor change to that loading hourglass with arrow cursor... so I check
my alt+control+delete menu, and I noticed that another "iexplorer.exe" is open, but
there is no other browser window visible... This behavior also occurs when you ctrl+left
click in your IE browser window

(I'm referring to double rightclicking and ctrl+left clicking within the actual page)

anyone know what's up with this?

I'm using IE 6 XPSP1

Welcome to the board zmart,

Must be an XP issue. In 2k pro a control left click brings up the contextual menu and a double click in the window makes the browser maximize. You may want to report it as a bug to microsoft.

thanks for the welcome,

i don't know, i've posted this problem on other forums, and people have recieved the same activity on XPsp1, as well as other OS's..

btw, I put "double right-click", not double click within the browser window.

I don't really feel like contacting microsoft, because I've had other attempts to contact microsoft for support without any replies... so I'm discouraged.
