no I meant some folks say they are clinging to 9.2 because they say its faster than osX but safari will only run on osX

Actually Safari only works on 10.2 Which I'd imagine as the minority of OSX users. I have a Dual 1GHz G4 running 10.1.x and there is no way that I'm going to upgrade for Safari when Mozilla 1.3b runs like a champ with an outstanding tab implementation to boot.
